Profile

Faizal is a UK qualified lawyer and for many years has worked and advised, and is a trusted advisor to institutions, corporates and families across the Middle East, Africa and India. Faizal specialises in banking and finance and has advised corporates, family offices and families including on their international investment and holding structures.

Rakesh Shah Head of Mergers and Acquisitions, Al Nasser Holdings

Rakesh is an accomplished professional with over 25 years experience in private equity, mergers & acquisition & investments across various geographies in Asia, Africa & Europe. He has been part of prestigious organization such as Al Nasser Holdings, African Industries Group, CG Corp Global, Ernst & Young and others where he was driving the organizational growth in variety of sectors namely industrial (aluminium, steel & copper), hospitality, healthcare, wellness, real estate & agriculture. In the current role as Head of M&A at Al Nasser Holdings, his mandate is to partner with entrepreneurs & business groups who wish to establish business or seek growth capital in UAE / GCC region.

Vikash GuptaCo-Founder & CEO of VAR Capital

Vikash Gupta is a serial entrepreneur and Co-Founder & CEO of VAR Capital, a London-based multi-family office specializing in asset management, investment banking, and inter-generational wealth planning for UHNW families. With over 25 years of financial services experience, Vikash has held key roles at Barclays and Booz & Company. At Barclays, he led the Key Clients and Family Offices team and was a member of the Investment Committee. Previously, he advised leading financial institutions on corporate and M&A strategies at Booz & Company. Vikash is also co-founder of Monument Bank, UK's fastest-growing Fintech Bank, and Chairman of Liberate Wealth, a platform consolidating financial advisors in the UK. He holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, USA, and a bachelor's degree in engineering from Bangalore University, India. When not working, Vikash enjoys motorbiking and supports social mobility initiatives.

Dave LangeManaging Director & Senior Executive Officer, Trident Trust

Dave joined Trident Trust in 2019 and has overall responsibility for Trident’s Dubai operations, including acting as SEO of the DIFC Office. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, with over 15 years of experience in financial services and investment funds. After spending five years with a Big Four accountancy firm, Dave moved into the private equity real estate sector, first in portfolio management and then later as CFO of a listed REIT and more recently as CFO of a real estate investment group in South Africa. Dave also holds a BCom (Acc) (Hons) from the University of Johannesburg and an MSc (Property Studies) from the University of Cape Town.
