As part of our CEO Connect series, this intimate event offers senior leaders a unique opportunity to hear Katerina’s insights on the volatility, structural change and global uncertainty shaping the economies. Drawing on her experience as a macroeconomist, Katerina will explore the major global challenges currently reshaping the economic landscape – from inflationary pressures and geopolitical tension to climate and demographic change.

Profile

With a career in financial services spanning four decades, Joe has a strong commitment to the future success of the industry in Jersey.

Joe commenced his professional life in the banking sector, rising to the position of CEO of Jersey and the Isle of Man for a major bank, which included responsibilities for trusts and investments. In recent years, he expanded his focus as Director of Financial Services within the Government of Jersey, where he worked closely with industry and regulator to ensure the island’s position as a leading international finance centre. Before joining Jersey Finance in February 2019, Joe was working to establish high-reputation regulatory frameworks and business models for IFCs in the Middle East and Africa. He is a board director of the World Alliance of International Finance Centers (WAIFC).

Dr. Katerina LisenkovaSenior Economist, NatWest Group

Katerina joined the bank in 2018 as a Senior economist. She focuses on development of climate scenarios and incorporating climate considerations into numerous aspects of the Bank’s risk frameworks and strategy. She has 20 years of economic research, teaching, and consulting experience. Her special areas of interest and expertise are climate change, demographic change, public and regional economics. Katerina has PhD in Economics from Heriot-Watt University. Previously she led research teams at the Fraser of Allander Institute and the National Institute of Economic and Social Research.
