Are you looking to get back to work? Thinking of a career change? Or not sure where to start? Then we have the event for you!

Join us on Tuesday 25 March to hear from people who have been in your shoes.

Who is this event aimed at?

This event is for anyone interested in knowing more about rejoining or re-skilling into the finance and related professional services industry.

From parents who have taken time out of work to look after their children, to someone who needs to work flexibly to look after sick/elderly family members, or someone who is looking for a career change into finance.

It is an opportunity to speak to current representatives from local financial services firms. You will be able to ask them questions and hear how they overcame obstacles and what worked best for them to help shape their career.

The finance industry can be very flexible and we believe that there is a job for everyone.

For more information, please contact a member of our events team.

** Please note that this event is not for recruitment agencies and is strictly for those seeking more information about joining or re-joining the finance industry. If you are a recruitment agency and wish for us to share any relevant resources with our attendees, please email skills@jerseyfinance.com **

Speakers
Silvia Pinto
Silvia Pinto
Silvia was worried about not having previous experience when she switched careers. However, she now knows the range of support and guidance financial services firms in Jersey provide to those looking to make a change.
Emma Pichon
Emma Pichon
After the birth of her children in 2019, Emma planned to return to her position within a family office in 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting uncertainty, she decided to defer her return until her children were older. In 2022, she accepted a role outside the industry in an educational environment for one year. By October 2023, she switched back to the finance industry to achieve a better work/life and financial balance for her family. Her reduced working hours are flexible to accommodate family life, while still allowing her to progress and develop her professional career in a sustainable manner.
Joanna Doyle
Joanna Doyle
After working in the trust industry for 17 years, Joanna took a 2-year career break to care for a family member. She then re-trained within the education sector and worked in that role on a part-time basis for 5 years. Once family circumstances changed, she was able to transition back to a full-time role in the finance industry
Shirley Halford
Shirley Halford
After working in the trust industry for 18 years, Shirley took a career gap of 17 months following complications from an operation. After her rehabilitation, she was able to return to the financial services industry in a similar role.
