From Coast to Coast: US Events

It’s been six years since Jersey Finance established a presence in the US. This month, we’ve been busy expanding our networks, with a series of engaging events across the region, highlighting the breadth and depth of Jersey’s financial services.

Our packed schedule began on the west coast, where we hosted networking events in San Francisco and Los Angeles, with our Americas Lead, Philip Pirecki, and Head of Funds, Elliot Refson, flying the flag for Jersey. We welcomed a mix of investment managers, lawyers and service providers, to share industry insights, build connections and highlight Jersey’s credentials.

The Sunshine State was Philip and Elliot’s next stop. In Miami, we hosted a dinner for invited guests, then a popular breakfast event in Coconut Grove, which recognised the concentration of private fund managers in that district.

Our final destination was New York, where Joe Moynihan, our CEO, joined Philip. Their schedule began with two private wealth–focussed engagements. Jersey Finance partnered with Crestbridge Family Office Services, joining Steve Sokic, Chairman, and Darrell King, Managing Director – Americas, to highlight how Jersey trusts can support US clients. The event, titled ‘US and Offshore Trust Sectors: A Story of Mutual Evolution’, explored trends, opportunities and the ways in which both jurisdictions continue to collaborate to meet global client needs. Next, we hosted our fourth Private Wealth Network roundtable of the year, welcoming US-based experts in law, banking and wealth management, together with senior professionals from Jersey firms. Philip and Joe shared their perspectives on how political change and global uncertainty could affect ultra-high net worth individuals and family offices in the years ahead.

A private dinner for investment managers, lawyers and service providers was also held in New York, then our multi-week series of US events culminated in a wonderful networking reception at the Elsie Rooftop, attended by guests from across the industry. This marathon of cities and conversations provided an excellent opportunity to develop connections and highlight Jersey’s expertise to investment managers, family offices, lawyers and service providers.
