Jersey Finance recently hosted its first cross-sector networking reception in London, bringing together professionals from across the private wealth and funds sectors to explore the growing opportunities emerging between these increasingly interconnected markets.
Hosted by Robert Moore, Director – UK, and Elliot Refson, Head of Funds, the event welcomed a diverse audience spanning private wealth, investment funds, family offices, sustainable finance, digital assets, social enterprise and capital raising. The reception enabled attendees to build new relationships, exchange perspectives and discuss the evolving needs of clients and investors in an ever more complex global environment.
Commenting on the importance of bringing the two sectors together, Robert said: “Some of the best ideas emerge when people with different perspectives come together. That’s why bringing the private wealth and funds communities into the same room is so valuable. Both sectors face many of the same opportunities and challenges, and by sharing insights and building stronger relationships, we can spark new ideas, strengthen collaboration and continue to showcase the depth and quality of Jersey’s international finance industry.”
Highlighting the key themes emerging from the discussions Elliot added: “As alternative investment managers increasingly look to access private wealth capital, understanding the needs of family offices and their advisers has become progressively more important. The discussions highlighted the growing demand for flexible, well-regulated fund structures and reinforced Jersey’s strength in supporting managers as they access these new pools of capital.”
Jersey Finance looks forward to creating future initiatives that continue to connect professionals from across the financial services industry and support collaboration across key areas of expertise.
