Background to Jersey Finance

Jersey Finance is a not-for-profit organisation established in 2001 to represent and promote Jersey as an international finance centre of excellence. With a presence in Jersey, London, Dubai, Hong Kong SAR, Johannesburg, New York, Shanghai and Singapore, Jersey Finance works across multiple international markets to promote Jersey’s financial services offering.

Events are a core and essential component of Jersey Finance’s overall marketing and business development strategy. Each year, Jersey Finance delivers 150+ events globally, centrally planned and managed from Jersey, working closely with internal teams, Member firms, intermediaries, Government of Jersey, regulators and a wide range of external partners.

The events programme spans a diverse portfolio of activity, including large-scale international conferences (500+ delegates), panel events, roundtables, networking receptions, private dinners and thought leadership forums. Events are delivered both on-island and off-island and are designed to achieve clear strategic objectives, with performance measured through attendance, audience engagement, stakeholder feedback and cost-effectiveness.

About the Events Team

The Events Team is central to Jersey Finance’s mission, translating organisational objectives into high-quality, face-to-face experiences that build relationships and reinforce Jersey’s position as a leading international finance centre.

Events are highly visible and time-sensitive, requiring team members to balance competing priorities, respond to last-minute changes and remain calm, professional and solutions-focused under pressure.

Working closely with colleagues, Members, Sponsors, and global stakeholders, the team combines exceptional communication skills, strong customer service, creativity and operational proficiency with the ability to manage live events on the ground. Attention to detail, consistency and quality are central to everything the team does, from initial brief and concept development through to delivery, evaluation and follow-up.

The work is demanding but immensely rewarding: the satisfaction of delivering impactful, memorable face-to-face interactions is at the heart of the role, and the team takes pride in delivering events that exceed expectations for all stakeholders.
