We work with key stakeholders such as finance industry professionals to provide tools and resources that create opportunities for the successful promotion of their individual organisations, products and services.

We also work closely with the Government of Jersey, the regulator, the Jersey Financial Services Commission and trade bodies to ensure that the best interests of the finance industry are effectively represented, in terms of legislation, regulation and other key areas of innovation that can enhance our jurisdictional product and services offering.

We are a central point of contact for journalists, and anyone connected with the finance industry, both locally and internationally, providing positive and transparent news, views and insights on Jersey Finance’s role and the added value that Jersey as an international finance centre can bring to economies around the world.

Overview of Role

The role requires strong marketing, communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, where you will contribute to the delivery of compelling marketing activity across a wide range of media in support of Jersey Finance’s overall strategy and business plan.

The post holder will need to be able to operate as part of a highly focussed team using a wide range of marketing media to communicate to audiences in our target markets, ensuring Jersey’s finance industry maintains a high profile and continues to thrive.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Support the research, production, delivery and evaluation of multi-channel event and engagement programmes in our target international markets, as a key member of the communications team within Jersey Finance’s Marketing function. This will typically include:
  • Scheduling, copywriting and designing assets for social media campaigns, including developing fresh new digital-first ideas to promote Jersey’s IFC, and evaluating performance to drive continuous improvement
  • Creating, executing and evaluating event invitations, optimising based on performance
  • Developing and publishing optimised website content, including generating ideas and building copywriting skills on content such as post-event news
  • Producing presentations, acting as brand guardian to ensure consistency in all our offline and online collateral and imagery library
  • Liaising with external agencies on creative collateral, thought leadership and media relations content
  • Managing various publication requests and collateral updates
  • Coordinating video and podcast production, managing speakers and key partners, and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external agencies to ensure smooth delivery
  • Collating and producing our bi-monthly regional newsletters
  • Collating information for Jersey Finance’s WeChat channel, with support from our agency in mainland China
  • Attending event planning meetings and actioning tasks to ensure smooth delivery of our event communications

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of two years previous experience in some or all of the following areas:-
    • Financial services
    • Marketing communications
    • Market research
    • Public / media relations
    • Journalism
    • Programme / project management
      Recent graduates with a relevant degree will also be considered.
  • An individual who holds, or is capable of obtaining, a relevant qualification such as a related first degree and /or a qualification from a recognised professional body such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) or the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).
  • Demonstrates strong marketing, interpersonal and organisational skills as well as an eye for detail and the ability to manage a broad portfolio of work.
  • A strong team player but capable of working on own initiative.
  • An interest in evolving marketing techniques, with an awareness of how digital channels support integrated communications campaigns.
  • IT skills including a high proficiency in Office365 applications , social media platforms of Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn as well as design application, Canva. An understanding of HubSpot would be advantageous but is not essential.
