Join us as we welcome members back from the summer break with the first CEO Connect lunch of the autumn, hosted by Jersey Finance Deputy CEO Amy Bryant.

We’re delighted to welcome Luke Tryl, Executive Director of More in Common UK, one of the country’s leading public opinion research organisations. Luke leads its ground-breaking research into the attitudes shaping modern Britain, helping policymakers, business leaders and civil society navigate some of today’s most complex and divisive issues. His work explores the nuances behind public opinion on topics ranging from immigration and climate change to identity, mental health and trust in institutions.

A respected political and social commentator, Luke is a familiar face and voice across the BBC’s flagship news and current affairs programmes and regularly contributes to national publications including The Times, The Telegraph, The Guardian, New Statesman and The Spectator. Prior to joining More in Common, he served as Special Adviser to the then Secretary of State for Education, Nicky Morgan, before becoming Director of Strategy at Ofsted.

Drawing on extensive polling, focus groups and behavioural research, Luke will share his perspective on the forces reshaping public opinion and what they mean for business leaders. The discussion will explore why trust in institutions is evolving, what organisations can do to maintain credibility, and how leaders can communicate effectively during periods of political and economic uncertainty. He will also examine the implications of increasing political fragmentation for investment, regulation and long-term decision making, alongside the growing gap between elite assumptions and public sentiment, and why understanding that divide has become a strategic leadership imperative.

This exclusive CEO Connect lunch offers an opportunity to hear from one of the UK’s leading experts on public opinion and to take part in an informed discussion with fellow senior leaders on the trends shaping the environment in which we all operate.

We look forward to welcoming you on Wednesday 16 September, from 12.00 pm to 2.00 pm, at the Royal Yacht Hotel.
