Held in Kuala Lumpur on 24 September 2025, the day before the IFN Investor Asia Forum 2025, this roundtable will bring together key intermediaries and industry specialists for an in-depth discussion on UK and European real estate investment opportunities, with a particular focus on the use of Shari’a-compliant Jersey structures.

Hamel ShahFounding Partner, Azimuth Global Partners
Hamel is a Founding Partner of Azimuth. He is based in Kuala Lumpur and possesses more than 20 years of commercial and fund-raising experiences gained from working in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the United States. Prior to founding Azimuth, Hamel held senior positions in Amiri Capital, Bain & Co, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Grenfell and NatWest Markets. Hamel has a degree in Economics from Cambridge University and an MBA from INSEAD. He studied real estate at Wharton Business School and earned the Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ) from the Securities and Investment Institute and the Ecole Superieur de Commerce.
Nancy ChienPartner and Head of Bedell Cristin's International Private Client practice, Jersey
Nancy is head of Bedell Cristin's International Private Client practice. Nancy has over 20 years of legal experience in both the private client area as well as the corporate sphere. Nancy advises ultra-high net worth families, family offices and intermediaries from all over the world on all aspects of private client structuring including the use of trusts and foundations, as well as related corporate law issues (including where such vehicles are used for philanthropic purposes). She has considerable experience with high value and complex family governance structures, including ones where the founders wish to retain a degree of control over their family assets. Nancy also advises regularly on matters involving family disputes and disputes between trustee and beneficiaries. She works closely with her litigation colleagues for matters which require a court application. Nancy is qualified in 4 jurisdictions, being Jersey, BVI, England and Wales and New Zealand.
Adam KnightHead of Funds and Indirect Real Estate, Bedell Cristin
Adam Knight is an experienced onshore funds lawyer, with significant senior in-house experience across all major asset classes who leads Bedell Cristin's London investment funds and indirect real estate practice. Having practised in London, including with Paul Hastings and CMS, he has a wealth of onshore experience to complement his in-house expertise from having worked as Global Head of Fund Structuring & Legal for global asset manager Intermediate Capital Group. Adam also spent time practising in Guernsey at the start of his career and is familiar with the full range of offshore investment fund structures. He has been admitted since 2010, and has worked on numerous major fund raises across private equity, real estate, infrastructure, credit and secondaries and has worked with a wide range of investors across his career including sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, and family offices.

Suhaida is the CEO & Director of Amanie Advisors Sdn Bhd, a globally recognized consulting firm specializing in Shariah advisory and Islamic finance solutions. She joined Amanie in 2008 and was among the pioneers in the company. She is a specialist in sukuk advisory and has been partnering with Tan Sri Dr Mohd Daud Bakar for the last 17 years to advise on numerous sukuk, locally and internationally. One of the sukuk advised by her has been awarded as Best Securitisation Sukuk at The Asset Triple A Islamic Finance Award (2021). Apart from sukuk advisory, her primary focus is on Shariah governance, structuring, enhancement and conversion exercises, establishment of Islamic financial entities as well as development of Islamic products.
