Born in Jersey, Nicola has a strong regulatory background having spent over six years at the Jersey Financial Services Commission - working in Securities supervision, authorisation and enforcement - before moving into industry in investment gatekeeper and regulatory consultancy roles.

Adam Knight is an experienced onshore funds lawyer, with significant senior in-house experience across all major asset classes who leads Bedell Cristin's London investment funds and indirect real estate practice. Having practised in London, including with Paul Hastings and CMS, he has a wealth of onshore experience to complement his in-house expertise from having worked as Global Head of Fund Structuring & Legal for global asset manager Intermediate Capital Group. Adam also spent time practising in Guernsey at the start of his career and is familiar with the full range of offshore investment fund structures. He has been admitted since 2010, and has worked on numerous major fund raises across private equity, real estate, infrastructure, credit and secondaries and has worked with a wide range of investors across his career including sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, and family offices.

John Forbes is an independent consultant advising real estate investment managers, investors and others in the real estate industry on the structure and operation of real estate funds. He has advised on the restructuring of high profile open and closed-ended real estate funds in the UK and elsewhere in Europe, as well as the establishment of new funds. He has advised service providers to the real estate investment management industry on the strategic implications of regulatory and other changes. John is is non-executive chair of the Urban Splash Residential Fund and a non-executive director of the Patrizia Hanover fund. From 2014 to 2022 was independent chair of the Supervisory Board of the UBS Triton property fund.
