Atiq Anjarwalla is a Senior Partner with Anjarwalla Collins & Haidermota. He is a licensed Legal Consultant, a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales and additionally an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. Atiq has over four decades of practice experience and focuses principally on mergers and acquisitions, general corporate advisory, family succession and estate planning for High-Net-Worth clients and hospitality projects. He also handles tax planning and offshore structures for High-Net-Worth clients. Atiq has assisted many international investors in setting up in Africa. Atiq is a recognised speaker and has conducted several conferences and seminars hosted by the IFC, Financial Times, Academy & Finance and the STEP. Mona Doshi
Mona DoshiPartner, ALN Kenya
Mona Doshi is a Partner at ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna and co-heads the firm’s Private Client department. She looks after the affairs of high-net-worth clients. Her practice includes advising on succession planning, drafting wills, handling probate matters, advising on onshore and offshore trusts, drafting shareholders’ agreements for family businesses, advising on prenuptial agreements, drafting settlement agreements, and advising on real estate. Mona handles both local and multi-jurisdictional matters for private clients. She also acts for several charitable institutions and has assisted in setting up charitable trusts and foundations. She is ranked by Chambers Global HNW guides that ranks lawyers with experience in handling private wealth matters. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She holds an LLB from University of Reading and has completed the LPC at College of Law, Guildford, England.
Harald Pöltner

Harald is a Partner with McKinsey & Company who has been based in Nairobi for the last ten years. He leads the Firm’s economic development efforts in Africa and assists investors, project developers, and donors in attracting and executing sustainable investments into the continent. As part of his work on investment transactions, Harald often supports Family-Owned Businesses, helping them navigate challenges such as the necessity for diversification and access to new technologies, the importance of strengthening governance, or talent retention, especially in the context of generational changes. Harald has over 20 years of professional experience, of which more than 15 years with McKinsey. He studied at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, where he received a Master’s in Business Administration.
Kenneth Njuguna

Kenneth is a Partner at ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna (ALN Kenya) and a member of the tax department. He has specialist skills in Kenyan and cross border taxation. Kenneth routinely advises clients on all tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and corporate restructurings and on business and transaction structuring generally. He also assists clients in complex tax audits and disputes with the Kenya Revenue Authority. Prior to joining A&K, he worked in the tax practice at PwC in Kenya and the United Kingdom. He works with a wide variety of multinational clients including power and utility firms, private equity funds, banking and insurance companies, real estate developers and public benefit organizations. Kenneth is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Public Secretary.
Ranee Nanji
Ranee NanjiDirector, SVG Group
Ranee Nanji is a Group Board Director at the SVG Group, a diversified family business with interests across real estate, floriculture, agriculture, agri-processing and manufacturing. In her role, she focuses on governance, strategy, and succession planning, working closely with the Owner Council and Group Board to professionalise the group’s operations and structure the business for the next generation. She also serves as Executive Director at Tilisi Developments PLC, where she co-led the transformation of a 400-acre land parcel into a thriving mixed-use development outside Nairobi. Ranee holds a BSc in Mathematics and Business Studies from Warwick University and is a Chartered Accountant. Before returning to Kenya in 2013 to join the family business, she worked for several years in a FTSE-100 company in London.
Claire Machin
Claire Machin Group Director, Suntera
Claire started out in the trust and corporate services industry over 30 years ago prior to joining Suntera in 2010. Claire is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and was appointed to the board of Suntera Jersey in January 2017 and in September 2019, Claire was appointed as a Group Director of Suntera Global. She also won the Citywealth Trustee of the Year award for the Channel Islands and Isle of Man in 2019 and silver in the 2022 Citywealth Powerwomen Awards in the 'Woman of the Year – Leadership – Financial Organisation (CEO/Board Member)' category and she won the Citywealth Editor’s Choice Award in 2024. Claire has been instrumental in managing multi-jurisdictional trust and corporate structuring for the business and has a passion for working with families to achieve succession planning objectives and family governance along with next generational engagement.
Winnie Koech
Winnie Koech Private Wealth Professional, Stanbic Bank Kenya
Winnie Koech is a private wealth professional, currently in charge of the Wealth and Investment Division at Stanbic Bank Kenya, a member of the Standard Bank Group. She is responsible for leading client’s investment and relationship strategy, driving superior client experience as well as banking. Over the years, Winnie has acquired sound experience in managing wealthy families and individuals. Her expertise is in Relationship management, financial planning, wealth creation and preservation. Winnie is also responsible for connecting local clients to Standard Bank’s International Offshore expertise. She is passionate about generational wealth and contributed to a thought leadership article in the Business Daily on the 15th of November 2021 themed – How Covid-19 has changed estate, succession planning. Winnie is a graduate of Economics from the University of Nairobi and is a holder of Chartered Institute of Investment and Securities (CISI) with over 15 years’ experience in Banking.
