Greening Jersey: 2026 Registration Now Open

Join us in shaping Jersey’s greener future.

20 Oct 2025

Greening Jersey – the finance industry-led initiative to rewild and restore Jersey’s natural environment – is delighted to announce that registrations for the second year of the initiative are now open. Existing participants and new finance firms in Jersey are invited to join the growing collective effort to rewild and restore Jersey’s natural environment.

Recap of the First Year

Launched at the end of 2024, Greening Jersey began with a simple vision: bring Jersey’s finance industry together to deliver measurable environmental impact. With a minimum contribution of £1,000 and an implied five-year commitment, 39 founding participants stepped forward.

Apex Jersey, Baccata Trustees Limited and BNP Paribas S.A. Jersey Branch set an early example by contributing above the minimum, while Vistra Fund Services Limited, Walkers (Jersey) LLP, True Ltd and other committee members supported the initiative with invaluable services and expertise.

This collaboration has already made a difference. Together, it has started to rewild spaces across the Island, created volunteering opportunities and built momentum towards Jersey’s sustainable future.

A Growing Impact

At its first strategic review meeting in July 2025, participants reflected on the progress so far and shaped the ambitions for the years ahead. The message was clear: Greening Jersey has the potential to deliver far greater impact, but to do so it must grow.

Priorities for 2026 are simple:

  1. Expand participation by inviting more financial and related professional services firms in Jersey to join
  2. Encourage firms to increase their contribution amount at a level that reflects their capacity to support rewilding in Jersey

A New Approach

The £1,000 minimum contribution remains unchanged for 2026. However, firms are strongly encouraged to consider the following suggested scale based on their Jersey-based staff headcount:

Headcount Suggested Contribution
1 – 10 £1,000 (minimum)
11 – 50 £1,500
51 – 100 £2,000
101 – 250 £3,000
251+ £5,000+

We recommend that corporate members of Jersey’s leading environmental charities – The National Trust Jersey, Jersey Trees for Life and Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust – continue their commitment. There are reductions of up to 20% (subject to the contribution being no less than the minimum) on contributions for firms who support these charities. Click here for more information.
