Citywealth Powerwomen Leadership Award for VG Director, Sheena Huggett

VG is celebrating Private Wealth Director, Sheena Huggett’s silver award for Woman of the Year – LEADERSHIP in the Citywealth Powerwomen 2025 awards. She was thrilled to collect her award, presented by Eve Pollard, in a ceremony in London on 6 March, along with other successful female leaders.

Sheena’s leadership style and the culture she has fosters marked her out against other entrants.

She commented: “My leadership ethos is integrity and mentorship. I lead myself with confidence underpinned by my values of honesty, integrity and responsibility to VG people and clients plus deep technical knowledge garnered from years of industry experience.

“Hand in hand with that is the way I lead people. My people leadership vision is support, growth and success – this guides our focus and energy on the right outcomes.

“I work hard to create a culture of mutual support and where we value everyone’s strengths and individuality.”

Outside of VG, Sheena has a particular interest in initiatives for young women and girls that open doors for them, normalise opportunities and celebrate participation. One way she does this is through women’s football.

Sheena says: “I feel that it is extremely important that young women and girls see first-hand what they can achieve in women’s football because this is still much less publicised than in the more lucrative male game. Football is a proxy for other areas of professional and private life for women. The lessons that young women and girls can learn through football, they will carry with them into adulthood.”

With a 20-year career in the wealth sector, the last four at VG, Sheena was promoted to Director at VG in 2024. Her role is wide reaching – managing a client facing team, client matters, director’s duties, sitting on boards of corporate trustee and director’s vehicles, risk management, people management and business development.

Sheena added: “I thoroughly enjoy building relationships. My clients and team know me for my deep technical knowledge and providing high quality and efficient client service with fast turn-around time.”

Sheena is a member of VG’s Business Risk Committee, an Affiliated Member of the Corporate Governance Institute and a member of the Institute of Directors.
