EY has announced the promotion of Nicoline Armatas, Tom Harris and Sacha Hamon to Partner in the Channel Islands, effective from 1 July. These appointments reflect the firm’s continued investment in its people and the next stage of growth across its Channel Islands business.

Nicoline Armatas, originally from South Africa and now based in Jersey, has over 15 years’ audit experience in financial services, specialising in private equity, real estate and alternative investments. She has led large, complex audit engagements and supports a broad range of clients across the Channel Islands. In her new role, she will focus on strengthening client relationships and supporting the development of local talent.

Tom Harris, based in Guernsey, has over 8 years’ experience providing assurance services in the Channel Islands, with a focus on fund audits across a range of asset classes, including infrastructure and alternatives. He joined EY after graduating from the University of Manchester and began his career on the firm’s summer internship programme. Since then, he has worked with both listed and private clients, leading multi-jurisdictional audit engagements. He is also part of the Channel Islands audit quality team, focusing on ensuring the right specialist teams and expertise are in place to support audit delivery. Tom has been involved in implementing technology solutions, including the use of AI in audits to drive efficiencies and insights, and will play a key role in enhancing service delivery as clients navigate an increasingly complex geopolitical environment.

Sacha Hamon will return to Guernsey to take up her new role as Partner, having started her career with EY in Guernsey before gaining further experience in London. She brings over 13 years’ experience across the Channel Islands and UK, including 7 years in EY’s London Banking and Capital Markets practice. She has led complex audits for global banking groups, working with teams across the UK, US and Asia. Sacha brings strong technical expertise and will support the continued development of EY’s local Assurance team, while building relationships across the banking and wealth and asset management sectors.

Together, these promotions highlight the strength of EY’s local talent and its commitment to developing future leaders.

Dan Saunders, EY’s Channel Islands Managing Partner, said:“I would like to congratulate Nicoline, Tom and Sacha on reaching this important milestone in their careers. Each has demonstrated strong leadership, a track record of delivering complex client engagements, and the ability to bring the best of the EY network to the key industry sectors we serve in the Channel Islands. Their promotions reflect the calibre and ambition of our people, as well as our commitment to investing in talent to build trusted client relationships, drive growth and promote the Channel Islands as leading international financial centres.”
