Jersey-Africa-UAE Connection Shared at Dubai Event

Last week, we hosted our first reception of 2026 in Dubai, bringing together Dubai-based finance professionals with business interests and connections with Africa.

Since 2019, our Dubai receptions have provided a valuable platform for professionals and businesses with a Dubai–Africa focus to connect, share insights and exchange experiences.

Hosted by Faizal Bhana, Jersey Finance’s Director for the Middle East, Africa and India, these events offer an excellent opportunity to showcase Jersey’s long‑standing relationship with Africa across a range of areas, including:

• How Jersey facilitates finance and investment into key African sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture and energy
• Through initiatives led by Jersey Overseas Aid Jersey supports projects focussed on education, healthcare and poverty alleviation across the African continent
• In relation to trade Jersey provides a platform to support African businesses seeking international expansion and partnerships, both under the AfCFTA and beyond
• Education on financial governance and how Jersey can support the ambitions of African investors and businesses
