Strengthening Connections Across Asia

4 November 2025

October was a busy month for us in Asia, as we continued to strengthen our relationships and share insights across Hong Kong SAR and Singapore.

We were proud to be a Gold Plus Sponsor of the AIMA APAC Annual Forum 2025 in Hong Kong, a flagship event that gathered more than 600 industry leaders to discuss the regulatory, policy and operational priorities shaping the Asia-Pacific investment landscape. Our Global Head of Market Development, Chris Jenkins, Head of Funds, Elliot Refson, and Director – South East Asia, Yiow Chong Tan, represented Jersey Finance, engaging with delegates and showcasing how Jersey’s funds offering can support clients across the region.

In Singapore, we hosted an exclusive ‘South East Asia Fund Management Trends’ breakfast roundtable in partnership with Schroders Singapore. Led by Yiow Chong Tan, the session brought together fund managers and family office representatives to explore emerging trends, including the growing shift from institutional clients to high-net worth investors. Elliot Refson shared insights on how Jersey structures complement the Singapore VCC framework and how fund managers can use Jersey’s National Private Placement Regime (NPPR) to access EU markets.

Later that day, we welcomed guests to our annual Singapore Connect networking reception, an invitation-only evening that gathered long-standing and new contacts from across the financial services industry. Yiow Chong Tan, Chris Jenkins and Elliot Refson networked with attendees, providing updates on Jersey’s evolving role as a forward-thinking international finance centre.

Between events, the team also held private meetings and dinners with key regional intermediaries, further strengthening relationships and exploring new opportunities across the region.
