Tech Connect Explores Measuring the Value of AI

7 Oct 2026

We hosted the third and final Tech Connect event in our AI trilogy on Wednesday 7 October, bringing together senior IT professionals from Member firms for a roundtable, under Chatham House rule, focussed on identifying and measuring the value created by AI.

Held at The Royal Yacht Hotel, the session was facilitated by Sam Jeremiah, Founder and CEO of FernAI. Sam drew on his experience helping organisations identify, validate and measure value from AI investment.

The session explored why organisations should start with the business problem rather than the technology when considering AI use cases, and how opportunities can be prioritised by looking at factors including potential value, feasibility, organisational readiness, cost, complexity and dependencies.

Sam also looked at the importance of establishing a meaningful baseline before introducing AI, measuring quality and cost alongside output and separating the impact of AI from other changes taking place within the business. The session considered how adoption, process redesign, governance and ongoing measurement can all influence whether an AI use case delivers value at scale.

This session concluded our 2026 Tech Connect AI trilogy, which has explored AI architecture, assurance and governance, and how organisations can make better-informed decisions about where to invest in AI.
