Jersey Finance, in collaboration with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) and Trowers & Hamlins, hosted a successful breakfast roundtable event in Bahrain on Tuesday, 20 May 2025.
The session focussed on the critical legal, tax, investment, and finance structuring aspects relevant to cross-border Shari’a-compliant finance transactions and finance structuring within Bahrain and the wider GCC region and extending into the UK and Jersey.
The event featured a distinguished panel of experts in Shari’a-compliant international finance and structuring from Bahrain, the Gulf region and Jersey.
Keynote addresses were delivered by Ali Haroon, Director – Capital Markets Directorate, Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) and Sabeen Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer, Islamic International Rating Agency.
Further insights were shared from leading professionals in Shari’a-compliant advisory, legal and corporate affairs, and financial services.
Designed for the professional advisory community in Bahrain, the Gulf region, and internationally, the roundtable provided a platform for in-depth discussion and significant networking opportunities. Attendees gained valuable perspectives on the evolving landscape of cross-border Islamic finance.
