Associate Director, Special Projects – Private Client Trust (12 Month Secondment/Fixed Term Contract)
What is the opportunity?
During this 12 month Secondment / contract the Associate Director, Special Projects will support the effective delivery of strategic initiatives which will drive increased profitability within an appropriate rate of return versus risk and to manage key change initiatives to deliver measurable impacts within the Wealth Management Europe (WME) Private Client Fiduciary Services (PCFS) business.
What will you do?
- Support key PCFS strategic projects and initiatives.
- Inform and execute against strategic initiatives and action plans, and effectively monitor to ensure goals and critical success factor activities are carried out and met.
- Contribute to the delivery of excellent client service and an integrated and growing business.
- Effectively execute change to deliver key strategies and improve operating efficiency ratios.
- Support regulatory and audit compliance by delivering against core business KPIs and provide quarterly reporting of progress against agreed annual plans.
- Support the representation of PCFS to the broader RBC Wealth Management platform.
- Responsible for the management of fiduciary structures under the management of the PCFS business, and the management of fiduciary accounts under the management of the Fiduciary Services (FS) business.
- Supporting the PCFS Structure & Pricing Committee (PCFS S&PC) (Sub-Committee of the PCFS MC) which provides oversight and approval on all pricing related matters including consistency of the pricing strategy; operating a transparent and logical pricing methodology; achieving the appropriate rate of return versus risk and instilling a thorough understanding of our value proposition.
- Supporting key PCFS initiatives to drive profitability, manage change and align resources with key ongoing projects.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Hold an internationally recognised professional qualification (Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Chartered Accountant Associate of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators, Chartered Association of Taxation or a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).
- Proven industry experience at a Management level.
- Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
- Strong understanding of the strategic framework within the context of external industry conditions, coupled with attention to detail.
- Maintain the minimum annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements of the held qualification and as required by regulatory authority.
- Possess experience in interpersonal/leadership/team building and networking skills.
