What is the Opportunity?

As Manager, Asset Services, you will lead a high-performing operational team, driving excellence in service delivery, risk management, and strategic execution. What Will You Do?

Lead and Develop Your Team:

  • Manage a team of professionals, providing coaching, performance management, and guidance to drive individual and collective success.
  • Address underperformance proactively and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Promote team engagement, collaboration, and a positive working environment aligned with RBC’s values.

Drive Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure adherence to operational procedures, regulatory requirements, and SLAs, maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review and sign off on departmental procedures, ensuring compliance with audit and regulatory standards.
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks, supporting resolution and mitigation strategies.

Leadership:

  • Set a clear direction for your team, aligning operational goals with WME and RBC’s strategic objectives.
  • Drive simplification, innovation, and process improvements, collaborating with stakeholders to implement change initiatives.
  • Ensure the team is adequately resourced and engaged in the change portfolio.

Risk and Control:

  • Embed a strong risk and control culture, ensuring team members understand and adhere to policy frameworks.
  • Champion a culture of speaking up, encouraging colleagues to raise concerns for the greater good of RBC.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

Must-Have

  • Proven Leadership Experience: Strong track record in managing and developing teams, including coaching, performance management, and addressing underperformance.
  • Financial Services Expertise: Deep understanding of the financial sector and operational processes.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives, drive process improvements, and make informed decisions.
  • Risk Management: Expertise in operational risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to adapt style and message for diverse stakeholders.
  • Change Leadership: Experience leading teams through change, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced IT skills and analytical capabilities to drive data-driven decision-making.

Nice-to-Have
