Joe Moynihan
Joe MoynihanChief Executive Officer, Jersey Finance
With a career in financial services spanning four decades, Joe has a strong commitment to the future success of the industry in Jersey.

Joe commenced his professional life in the banking sector, rising to the position of CEO of Jersey and the Isle of Man for a major bank, which included responsibilities for trusts and investments. In recent years, he expanded his focus as Director of Financial Services within the Government of Jersey, where he worked closely with industry and regulator to ensure the island’s position as a leading international finance centre. Before joining Jersey Finance in February 2019, Joe was working to establish high-reputation regulatory frameworks and business models for IFCs in the Middle East and Africa. He is a board director of the World Alliance of International Finance Centers (WAIFC).
Jo Murphy
Jo MurphySenior Consultant
Jo has over 25 years of Asia Pacific cross-functional expertise, has held senior leadership roles in regional management, strategy, client and business development, and has built and managed successful regional teams and operations for major global institutions. Her roles have spanned intermediary, buy/sell side, education, and entrepreneurial sectors, with a predominant focus on alternative investments and private markets alongside the evolution of the financial services sector. Jo is a seasoned presenter, moderator, business consultant, strategic advisor, writer and industry thought leader active across the industry. She also holds multiple consulting, corporate advisory, treasurer and wider NFP board roles.
Carolyn Butler
Carolyn ButlerManaging Director, International Fiduciaries
Carolyn is Managing Director of International Fiduciaries Limited and has previously held positions as CEO of The Hong Kong Trust Company Limited and Managing Director of AIA Pension Trustee Company. She has been a practitioner in the financial services industry for over 30 years and has hands on experience and knowledge of both the institutional and private sectors of the financial services industry including the investment, trust, compliance, retirement schemes, family office and fund administration industries. Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Business degree, a Graduate Diploma of Management with distinction, and MBA with distinction and a Masters of Business Law. She is also a certified financial times international director and holds a Hong Kong Certified Trust Practitioners license. She is ex Chairperson and remains on the board of the HK Trustees’ Association as well as co-chairs the family office Sub-committee and education subcommittee.
Mr Wen Tan
Mr Wen TanHead of Strategy, Nelson Capital
Wen Tan has over 30 years’ experience across the global financial industry, 20 of which have involved working at or alongside family offices across the Asia Pacific region, Europe and North America in both investment management and organisational management capacities. Wen has advised on a broad range of matters relating to family office institutionalisation, governance, alignment of interests, succession planning, organisational structuring, and investment best practice, as well as being a member of various investment committees. Currently, Wen is also Managing Director & Head of Strategy at a single family office which manages third-generation wealth for an established Asia Pacific family. Prior to joining the family office world, Wen qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG’s financial sector team in London and subsequently worked as a cross-border M&A banker with Lazard focusing on financial institutions. Wen is a graduate of the University of Cambridge.
Paul Knox
Paul KnoxManaging Director and Senior Wealth Advisor, J.P. Morgan Private Bank
Paul Knox serves as a Managing Director and Senior Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Asia, where he has been based in Hong Kong since November 2019. With a career spanning over 19 years at J.P. Morgan, Paul transitioned from Ernst & Young, where he held the position of Director and led the Private Client Services group in London. He was also the Chairman and founder of the EY International Private Wealth Group. With over 40 years of experience, Paul specializes in advising wealthy individuals and families on a diverse array of international tax and estate planning matters, alongside family office, family governance, and philanthropic concerns. An alumnus of Durham University, Paul practiced as a UK Solicitor and is an active member of STEP. He currently chairs the STEP Hong Kong executive committee. Recently, he was recognized among the top 150 global advisors in the private wealth sector by the Private Client Global Elite Directory.
