With a career in financial services spanning four decades, Joe has a strong commitment to the future success of the industry in Jersey.

Joe commenced his professional life in the banking sector, rising to the position of CEO of Jersey and the Isle of Man for a major bank, which included responsibilities for trusts and investments. In recent years, he expanded his focus as Director of Financial Services within the Government of Jersey, where he worked closely with industry and regulator to ensure the island’s position as a leading international finance centre. Before joining Jersey Finance in February 2019, Joe was working to establish high-reputation regulatory frameworks and business models for IFCs in the Middle East and Africa. He is a board director of the World Alliance of International Finance Centers (WAIFC).

Carolyn is Managing Director of International Fiduciaries Limited and has previously held positions as CEO of The Hong Kong Trust Company Limited and Managing Director of AIA Pension Trustee Company. She has been a practitioner in the financial services industry for over 30 years and has hands on experience and knowledge of both the institutional and private sectors of the financial services industry including the investment, trust, compliance, retirement schemes, family office and fund administration industries. Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Business degree, a Graduate Diploma of Management with distinction, and MBA with distinction and a Masters of Business Law. She is also a certified financial times international director and holds a Hong Kong Certified Trust Practitioners license. She is ex Chairperson and remains on the board of the HK Trustees’ Association as well as co-chairs the family office Sub-committee and education subcommittee.

Robert is an independent flat-fee financial adviser to family offices, family controlled listed companies and high net worth individuals in Greater China. Robert won his first family office mandate in 2001, still a client on retainer today. Projects range from front and back office one-off reviews of staffing, internal controls, and investment and risk policy vis a vis best practice, to on-going front and back-office portfolio and team oversight in relation to global markets, investments, derivatives hedging, due diligence, risks, and myriad back office issues related to custody, leverage, legal, tax, reporting, etc. Robert is also an independent non-executive director of a number of funds of Simplex Asset Management, a Japanese group that Robert helped start in 1998 that has become one of the largest asset management boutiques in Japan. Prior to starting his financial advisory practice in 2000, Robert spent a number of years in accounting and finance roles.
