We are delighted to welcome Jane Platt CBE, who was appointed Chair of the Jersey Financial Services Commission in March 2024. With extensive experience in leading large and complex organisations, Jane has a distinguished track record across financial services, including institutional and retail investment management, stockbroking, banking, and the civil service.

Previously, she held senior corporate positions including CEO of Barclays Stockbrokers and Chief Executive of NS&I, followed by a number of non-executive roles, including serving on the Board of the Financial Conduct Authority and Zurich Assurance. This breadth of experience gives her a unique perspective on regulation from both sides of the fence.

Awarded a CBE in 2013 for services to financial services, Jane will share her invaluable insights on the latest economic headwinds and the evolving role of regulators in an ever-changing world.

Profile

Amy is Deputy Chief Executive of Jersey Finance. Amy joined Jersey Finance in 2011, becoming Chief Operating Officer in January 2014 and assumed her current role in September 2017. Amy also retains an active position leading the Strategy and Research team which undertakes projects and initiatives to develop the financial services industry in the Island.

Jane Platt CBEChair, JFSC

Jane Platt joined the JFSC as Chair in March 2024. With extensive experience operating in large and complex businesses, Jane has a successful track record across financial services including institutional and retail investment management, stockbroking, banking and the civil service. Jane began her career as an investment manager in pension funds with Mercury Asset Management, before moving to BZW Asset Management. She was appointed as Chief Operating Officer at the time of the creation of Barclays Global Investors and her first CEO role was at Barclays Stockbrokers. She left Barclays to take up a senior global role at Reuters which gave her a comprehensive view of media and technology before being appointed Chief Executive of NS&I. NS&I is tasked with raising cost effective retail financing for the UK government. She led the business through the financial crisis and funds managed doubled in size during her tenure.
