Join our lunch and learn in January, focussed on creating and sustaining a flexible family- friendly workplace.

With workplace flexibility now a top priority across the industry, this CPD-accredited session will explore how organisations can build and sustain genuinely flexible, family-friendly working practices without compromising business performance. Attendees will gain practical insights and tools to help create inclusive workplaces that support both professional success and family life.

We will be joined by Jane van Zyl, Chief Executive of Working Families, the UK’s leading national charity for working parents and carers. Jane brings extensive expertise in helping employers remove workplace barriers faced by those with caring responsibilities and build cultures where people and businesses thrive.

This event is in partnership with MentorHood Jersey, which provides free workshops, advocacy and advice for parents of all ages and backgrounds.

The session will include a presentation and a Q&A, giving you the chance to learn, ask questions.

Karolina Pilcher
Karolina PilcherSenior Strategy and Research Manager, Jersey Finance
Karolina joined Jersey Finance as Strategic Projects Manager in May 2016, becoming Senior Manager in 2017.

Karolina is a qualified chartered accountant and a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Previous to Jersey Finance Karolina was an Advisory Manager with PwC in the Channel Islands where she has managed a number of consultancy projects including regulatory and AML related projects at financial services providers and worked on the design and implementation of a new operating model for one of the leading global providers of financial services to institutional investors.
Jane van Zyl
Jane van ZylCEO, Working Families
Jane van Zyl, CEO of Working Families, joined Working Families as CEO in September 2018. She has held senior leadership positions at several UK charities, including Samaritans and Sands. She believes in the value of a fulfilling, balanced working life and its transformative power to create social connections, build self- esteem, and impact the wider community. She is a passionate advocate of equity of opportunity for all. She spent her childhood in the UK (Norfolk) and South Africa (Cape Town & Johannesburg) and is a University of Cape Town graduate (Industrial Sociology and Industrial Psychology).
