This year, our half-day event will allow more time for audience interaction.

Jersey Finance’s Global Head of Business Development, Allan Wood, will deliver an opening address, swiftly followed by brief updates from each member of our global business development team.

Attendees will also hear from Tom le Feuvre, Director of Global Markets & International Agreements at the Government of Jersey, Tom will deliver a virtual keynote address on the work being done to strengthen Jersey’s links with countries including political, commercial, cultural, and educational cooperation.

After a brief networking coffee break, attendees will have a 45-minute Q&A session with all members of our business development team. Attendees can submit questions in advance via Slido on the code #DGOT23 or ask them live on the day.

There will be an opportunity to speak and meet with our business development team directly after the Q&A session.

Profile

Faizal is a UK qualified lawyer and for many years has worked and advised, and is a trusted advisor to institutions, corporates and families across the Middle East, Africa and India. Faizal specialises in banking and finance and has advised corporates, family offices and families including on their international investment and holding structures.

Profile

An joined Jersey Finance in May 2016 as the Business Development Director for Asia and is now based in our Middle East Regional Hub office, in the DIFC in Dubai.

An studied law in Belgium at the University of Leuven including one Erasmus exchange year at Queen Mary and Westfield College in London. She subsequently did an LLM in international business law at Trinity College Dublin.

Dr Rufaro NyakatawaMarket Development Consultant – Africa, Jersey Finance

Profile

Based in Johannesburg, Dr Rufaro Nyakatawa’s primary focus is developing the strategy for Jersey Finance’s engagement in the South African market. She also plays a vital role in supporting the organisation’s wider activity across the continent.

Yiow Chong TanDirector – South East Asia, Jersey Finance

Profile

Yiow Chong Tan joined Jersey Finance in September 2022 as our dedicated Director in Singapore, with his remit also covering the surrounding South East Asia region.

Tom Le FeuvreDirector, Global Markets and International Agreements, Government of Jersey

Tom was born and educated in Jersey, where his family has always lived. He joined the British diplomatic service in 2008 and was deployed to Qatar, Jordan and Lebanon – where he served as First Secretary in the UK’s Syria Office in Beirut from 2012-2014. He was then promoted to Head of East Africa in London, with responsibility for Kenya. Returning to Jersey and as Director of External Relations, he leads a team responsible for building the Government of Jersey’s relationships with high-growth markets and maintaining Jersey’s compliance with international standards on tax and sanctions. He is the Co-Chair of the OECD working group on country-by-country reporting.

Elliot RefsonHead of Funds, Jersey Finance

Profile

Elliot re-joined Jersey Finance in November 2018 from Crestbridge where he managed their Management Company Services Group.

Elliot’s role is to help define Jersey’s product offering for funds as well as to oversee the strategy and execution of marketing Jersey as both a domicile and destination for Alternative Investment Managers and their funds.
