Profile

Faizal is a UK qualified lawyer and for many years has worked and advised, and is a trusted advisor to institutions, corporates and families across the Middle East, Africa and India. Faizal specialises in banking and finance and has advised corporates, family offices and families including on their international investment and holding structures.

Jacklyne IminzaChief Operating Officer and Interim Chief Executive Officer, EAVCA

Jacklyne is an Operations Management professional with seasoned experience in strategic business and operational planning, leadership- building, corporate governance, development and implementation of human resource and operational policies, and capacity building training. In her role, Jacklyne is responsible for promoting partnerships between capital allocators and businesses in East Africa by creating linkages within the private capital ecosystem. She specialises in both human and capital mobilisation. Prior to joining EAVCA, she served as the Head of Administration & Operations at E3 Capital (formerly Energy Access Ventures), where she was responsible for monitoring existing processes and analysing their effectiveness including creating strategies to improve productivity and efficiency.

David Lekerai Partner & Head, Corporate, DLA Piper Africa, Kenya (IKM Advocates)

David Lekerai is a Partner and Head of the Corporate practice group at DLA Piper Africa, Kenya (IKM Advocates). He has a wealth of experience in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate law, commercial law, structured trade finance (including Islamic finance), corporate restructuring and capital markets. David has been involved in many domestic and international transactions involving joint ventures, private equity investments and divestments, corporate reorganizations, and capital raising via equities, debt, and convertible debt instruments.

Leevyn is a professional who specializes in helping businesses and high net worth individuals to establish their operations and legal structures in the UAE. With over 20 years of experience, in fund, corporate and fiduciary services, Leevyn has built a reputation for providing transparent and practical solutions, that help clients navigate through the complex business and legal landscape of the UAE. Leevyn was Head of Fund Administration for a Mauritian-based investment company before moving to UAE to assist with the setting up of the UAE operations in 2011. He has an in-depth understanding of the local business environment and legal structures, and his expertise and extensive network have proven invaluable to his clients. In addition to his client facing roles, Leevyn acts as subject matter expert on UAE foundations, estate planning and corporate structuring. As a Business Development Director at Ocorian he is also involved in the development of the new products and solutions.
