Continuing Professional Development (CPD) refers to the learning activities professionals undertake to develop and maintain their skills throughout their careers.
Whether you are early in your career or a senior leader, CPD supports both personal development and wider business performance. It helps you stay current in a fast-moving industry, respond to regulatory and market change, remain compliant, and continue to add value to your organisation at every career stage.
Many professional bodies require professionals to complete a specified level of CPD annually to retain membership or professional status, with CPD also forming part of certain regulatory requirements.
For our industry, CPD plays an important role in maintaining high standards, reinforcing Jersey’s reputation as a well-run and forward-thinking international finance centre and supporting the long-term sustainability of our sector.
Jersey Finance is a member of CPD UK and we are recognised by them as a CPD provider, making many of our events and much of our content CPD-eligible.
Being a member of CPD UK allows us to assess our events and selected content against established CPD standards, ensuring the learning we provide is relevant, structured and of a consistent quality.
For our Members, this offers reassurance that CPD-accredited activity has been reviewed against clear criteria and is designed to support genuine professional development.
At Jersey Finance, we create a range of content from private wealth and funds to sustainable finance and fintech.

Where a Jersey Finance event or other content meets the criteria, staff of Member firms can claim a certificate proving your participation. While we confirm the content meets CPD UK standards, different professional bodies have different requirements and point-allocation rules. It is your responsibility to determine whether any event or content meets the criteria set by your own professional body and how many points you can claim.
Depending on your professional body’s approach, reading some of our reports, insights and articles may also count towards CPD. Please refer to your professional body’s guidelines on reading-based CPD. Please note that we are unable to provide certificates of completion for this type of activity.

CPD certificates reflect the educational content only. This means time spent networking, on breaks or in non-learning activities is excluded from the total CPD duration shown on your certificate.
Professional bodies have different CPD criteria. It’s your responsibility to confirm eligibility.
