Greening Jersey: 2027 Registrations Now Open

6 Nov 2026

Join Jersey’s finance industry in restoring nature across our Island.

Greening Jersey, the finance industry-led initiative supporting nature restoration and rewilding across the Island, has opened registrations for its third year of participation.

Launched at the end of 2024 with 39 founding firms, Greening Jersey has grown to more than 50 participating firms. In its first two years, the initiative has helped plant over 1,300 trees and contributed more than 1,600 volunteer hours, working alongside the National Trust for Jersey and Jersey Trees for Life.

With the initiative now committed to  six sites , including the restoration of a pond at Plémont, Greening Jersey continues to expand its work across different habitats. Looking ahead to 2027, the initiative aims to broaden the range of environmental projects it supports and explore opportunities to collaborate with additional charities, including Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.

The minimum annual contribution will remain at £1,000 for 2027, with firms encouraged to consider a suggested contribution scale based on their Jersey-based employee headcount. Reductions of up to 20% remain available for firms that are corporate members of the nominated environmental charities, subject to the minimum contribution.

“Over the past two years, Greening Jersey has demonstrated what our industry can achieve by working together. As we enter our third year, our ambition is to build on that momentum, broaden our environmental impact and encourage even more firms to play a part in restoring Jersey’s natural environment.” Tom McKenna, Sustainable Finance Lead, Jersey Finance and Greening Jersey committee member.

Registrations are now open to Jersey Finance Member firms, with completed contribution agreements and payments due by Sunday 31 January 2027.
