Join Jersey Finance for the next CEO Connect event – featuring Dr. Samir Puri, leading geopolitical strategist, author and founder of Pure Strat.

Hosted by Joe Moynihan, Chief Executive Officer at Jersey Finance, this intimate lunchtime discussion will bring together a small group of CEOs and senior executives to explore how geopolitical shifts, global conflict and the rebalancing of international power are reshaping business strategy and long-term planning.

Drawing on his experience across government, academia and global policy institutions, Samir will offer insights into the changing geopolitical landscape and what it means for business leaders navigating an increasingly uncertain world, including:

Geopolitics and business strategy – how the rebalance of global power is becoming one of the defining influences on corporate decision-making and long-term planning.
The Indo-Pacific perspective – how developments in Ukraine and Iran are viewed from Asia, and the prospects for conflict resolution in an increasingly multipolar world.

The lunch will include a keynote conversation with Samir, followed by an opportunity for open discussion among peers.

Dr. Samir PuriAuthor | Director at Pure Strat

Dr. Samir Puri served as the inaugural Director of Chatham House's Global Governance and Security Centre in 2025. He is a thought leader in geopolitics and has worked as an author, academic and as a UK civil servant. He previously worked for the Foreign Office including a year as a ceasefire observer during Russia's first invasion of Ukraine. He was subsequently a War Studies lecturer in King's College London and later a Senior Fellow at IISS-Asia in Singapore, where he helped convene an annual conference on Indo-Pacific security. His books include: The Great Imperial Hangover: How Empires Have Shaped the World, Russia's Road to War with Ukraine and Westlessness: The Great Global Rebalancing. He is currently based between Singapore and London and now leads 'Pure Strat': a boutique strategic advisory firm that deals with the impacts of geopolitics, wars, and changing global balances of power on business planning.
