Jersey Finance is delighted to be hosting an exclusive event for our CEO Connect Members on Tuesday 21 November.

There will be updates from Joe Moynihan, Chief Executive Officer at Jersey Finance, followed by a presentation from Baroness Helena Morrissey, ending with an interactive Q&A session with guests.

Baroness Helena Morrissey has over 3 decades’ experience in the financial services sector, including 15 years as CEO of Newton Investment Management. Helena was also Chair of the Investment Association, the UK investment industry’s trade body, from 2014 to 2017 and is currently Chair of Fidelis Insurance Group and Altum Group. Helena is also well known for her work on inclusion and diversity; in 2010, she founded the 30% Club, a business-led campaign for better gender-balanced boards. There are now 18, 30% Clubs throughout the world.

Profile
With a career in financial services spanning four decades, Joe has a strong commitment to the future success of the industry in Jersey.

Joe commenced his professional life in the banking sector, rising to the position of CEO of Jersey and the Isle of Man for a major bank, which included responsibilities for trusts and investments. In recent years, he expanded his focus as Director of Financial Services within the Government of Jersey, where he worked closely with industry and regulator to ensure the island’s position as a leading international finance centre. Before joining Jersey Finance in February 2019, Joe was working to establish high-reputation regulatory frameworks and business models for IFCs in the Middle East and Africa. He is a board director of the World Alliance of International Finance Centers (WAIFC).
