Our workforce is key

We work closely with industry, government and education providers to identify skills gaps, promote lifelong learning and ensure that Jersey remains a competitive and compelling destination for top-tier professionals.

Whether it’s fostering early careers through schools, supporting reskilling and upskilling across the workforce, or creating pathways for leadership, our focus is on building an inclusive and agile ecosystem of opportunity.

What we are doing

By challenging misconceptions, showcasing diverse career paths and helping people understand how to develop and grow within the industry, we’re building a strong foundation of skilled, ambitious and innovative talent, ensuring Jersey continues to flourish as a leading international finance centre.

We host a number of initiatives and events that focus on educating and inspiring both future workers and current professionals.

Key initiatives include:

Future Fit Workforce workstream – We are working to understand and address skills-related issues and ensure that people remain one of our most valuable differentiators as an industry.
Future Connect – a tailored forum aimed at junior to mid-level professionals and those starting out in their careers in the finance industry to help build skills and network.
Life in Finance – a long-running programme connecting students with finance firms.
Finance Days – collaborating with local schools and firms to develop interactive sessions, with key take aways for Year 8 students. Helping them to gain a wider understanding of what it means to work in the industry.
Live Opportunities – a dedicated page hosting all of our live local opportunities, from work experience, bursaries, scholarships, trainee programmes and job vacancies.
