Last Friday marked the end of our US Flagship Week, a series of in-person engagements designed to strengthen commercial links between Jersey and the US, across funds, corporate services and private wealth.
Our events programme, across Miami and New York, brought together senior professionals from the US and Jersey through a mix of curated roundtables, partnership events, panel discussions and networking receptions.
Joe Moynihan, CEO of Jersey Finance, said: “Our US Flagship Week was about creating practical, two-way dialogue with decision-makers – sharing insights, building relationships and demonstrating why Jersey continues to be a trusted partner for cross-border business.”

The week opened with private wealth discussions exploring the impact of geopolitics on international families and other key themes. These were followed by funds-focussed sessions on the global appetite for alternative investment in the US and asset-raising options. Informal networking formats, including our popular ‘Bulls, Bears and Bagels’ breakfast event, complemented the agenda, alongside private dinners in both cities.
Two headline panel events, staged in Miami and New York, featured sessions titled ‘The Predictability Dividend’. Joe Moynihan welcomed guests and the panels were hosted by our Americas Lead Philip Pirecki. Speakers included: Jill Britton, Director General of the Jersey Financial Services Commission; Sidley Partners Kate Lashley and Dan Spies; Walkers Partner Dilmun Leach and Elliot Refson, Head of Funds at Jersey Finance.
Philip Pirecki said: “Our sessions in Miami and New York generated strong engagement and discussions on the need for predictability and well-understood solutions. The week created time and space for the kinds of conversations that move mandates forward.”
Partnership lunches with organisations including AYU and STEP New York (with Crestbridge Fiduciary and Katten) added a further practical dimension, focusing on tax, legal and cross-border planning issues for US and US-connected families. The STEP New York event featured speakers Ed Devenport, Partner and Global Practice Leader at Mourant, and Gerry Joyce, Senior Counsel at Perkins Coie.
Across the week, discussions reflected the continued focus on predictability, substance and pragmatic solutions for cross-border structuring, and provided a forum for Jersey firms and US stakeholders to exchange insights and build new connections.
